  1. LATEST

Alongside my personal passion for solving CTFs on platforms such as Hack The Box and ongoing professional training in security topics, I lead the Application Security Task Force. Its goal is the continuous improvement of the security of existing and new applications developed and operated within the group. The task force's work focuses, among other things, on supporting penetration tests, evaluating the security of a wide range of system and software architectures and shaping secure coding practices.

  2. LATEST

As a full-stack developer, I focus on working with Java, Node.js and various web technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript and PHP. In this context, I work with the content management system FirstSpirit and the portal software Liferay. Within these two system environments, I maintain a large number of central websites and web applications of the MERKUR GROUP (formerly Gauselmann Group). In addition, I developed a platform for managing, planning and carrying out rollout processes using modern frameworks such as Angular and NestJS.

  3. During my studies in business information systems, I worked intensively on practical projects in several modules alongside many theoretical aspects. These included programming a prototype iOS app with a backend for controlling a DJI drone for automated warehouse management, developing a chatbot and programming an Alexa skill. These projects allowed me to apply the knowledge I had learned in theory and, often as part of a team, to develop innovative solutions. In the later semesters, I chose to specialise in e-business.
My bachelor's thesis covered the concept, design and Java implementation of an extension for a content management system.

  4. As part of my dual study programme at the MERKUR GROUP (formerly Gauselmann Group), I completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration. After each theory phase at the university, I moved to a different department within the company. This gave me a wide range of insights into both administrative tasks and software development processes. Along the way, I gained experience with databases, virtualisation technologies and custom software development, among other things.
In my final project, I designed and implemented a solution for end-to-end monitoring of email infrastructures.

  5. Even at school I discovered my passion for computer science, which grew out of an elective computer science course in middle school and was strengthened further by an internship in automation engineering. Besides regular school life, I also worked as an administrator in the school's self-study centre, which gave me my first valuable practical experience back then. In my final years, I took advanced courses in mathematics and social sciences. In particular, the combination of my interest in numbers and logic and my understanding of economic relationships led me to decide on studying business information systems while I was still at school.
